Is Purdue Student Health Center free? ›

Provider visits for illness or injury are free for full time currently enrolled Purdue students on the West Lafayette campus. There are fees for diagnostic testing, medications, immunizations, allergy shots and all other services.

PUSH is in network for most United Healthcare and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield plans. We will also bill any insurance you present. It is always best to call your insurance company prior to your visit to verify your coverage and benefits.

Most PUSH services are by appointment. If you need urgent medical services, you may walk-in during regular and extended hours. You may schedule an appointment with a board certified PUSH provider by calling 765-494-1700, option 0, or through the Patient Portal.

You must be enrolled in classes in order to have access to the Hammond and Westville Fitness Center. You must provide your PNW student ID at the check-in desk!

Purdue Counseling and Guidence Center

There is no charge for either the individual counseling services, tests or inventories that might be administered as part of the counseling process.

With a GPA of 3.74, Purdue requires you to be above average in your high school class. You'll need a mix of A's and B's, with a leaning toward A's.

The Dean's List and Semester Honors recognizes students that have achieved high scholastic standing cumulatively and/or for the semester.

Purdue University is located in West Lafayette, Indiana which is part of the Greater Lafayette community, consisting of West Lafayette, Lafayette and Tippecanoe County. The Greater Lafayette area is one of the largest metropolitan areas in Northwest Indiana.

All registered full-time students as well as degree-seeking co-op students are eligible to enroll in Purdue's student insurance. Domestic students are not required to take the student insurance, but you are expected to have coverage outside of Purdue. Online only students are not eligible for student insurance.

BGR Fee Waivers

A limited number of need-based waivers are available to cover all or half of the $375 fee. New students can find the link to the BGR Fee Waiver Application, and details on how to apply, on the New Student Task List in their MyPurdue portal.

Emergency medical service, including transport to local hospitals, is provided to the Purdue community free of charge.

All of CAPS services, except for psychiatric services, are free to student including brief phone screens, crisis consultations, initial consultations, group therapy, individual and couples therapy sessions, and care management services.
