Has anyone tested negative at 11 DPO and then tested positive at a later day and ended up really being pregnant? I still have 6 more days until my expected period (I ovulated early, per the Clear Blue Digital and confirmed Progesterone test a week later). I took a test this morning on an easy @ home cheapie and it’s stark negative.

Just wondering if I should realistically still have hope or if I should just stop driving myself crazy.

you can implant as late as 12 DPO and it can take 2-3 days for hcg to double and be detectable. Could be an extra day or two depending on the test you’re using.

side note: is it normal for you to have a 17 day luteal phase? If you ovulated earlier than your cycle will be expected earlier. Your luteal phase should remain the same. So if you’re routinely a 14 day luteal phase then your af is due in 3 days, not 6.

thank you so much for your thoughtful response. I have had regular monthly cycles since I was 12, with it being a 28-day cycle pretty consistently. Maybe sometimes it will be a day or two late (like this past period was a day late), but it’s usually right on track.

This is the first time I’ve ever tracked ovulation, and it was positive (solid smiley on digital reader) on Nov 23rd. 7 days later, I checked progesterone, which was 10.9 so doc said that confirmed my ovulation on the 23rd. I put it into my Ovia app, and the app predicts my period will start Dec 10th, which is about 28 days later.

I’m not really sure how all this works, really, but I’m learning and finding our bodies incredibly fascinating. If you have any additional intel you’d like to share, I’m completely open. Learning this all is so exciting and also frustrating. Haha.

without having previously confirming ovulation it’s difficult to say how long your luteal phase is. Maybe it is 17 days, it’s better to have longer than shorter. 14 is average but by no means the only possible luteal phase length! If you don’t conceive this cycle I’d be curious to know when af starts for you. Of course I hope you get that BFP though in the next few days! We don’t really need to know your LP! ❤️❤️❤️����������������

just following up on this. We did not conceive this cycle. Took test every couple days until yesterday. All stark negative. Today AF started, exactly on the anticipated day. So I guess I have that long Luteal phase you mentioned. ����‍♀️ I’m learning all about this stuff. It’s so fascinating!

I’m wondering if anyone has tested positive with the fr tests sooner than with the easy @ home cheapies?? I’m just using the cheapies now unless I miss my period.

you’re welcome and yes this is my current cycle. I am 22dpo today / 5wks.

For me I saw vvfl on e@h early wonfo and frer all on the same day (12dpo). But as the pregnancy progressed, the lines on each weren’t always the same level of darkness.

Here’s my cheapies on 12 and 13. Also for fun my test on 14dpo compared to a week later !!

thank you for sharing. It seems like you got positives on fr and clear blue earlier but the easy @ homes, though taken later, were still pretty faint. Hoping that means your pregnancy is still strong but just shows that the eah tests are a little later at detecting it. ���� Thanks for sharing.

I got pregnant a couple months ago (chemical) and tested negative on 11dpo, couldn’t get a positive until 14dpo. Still TTC so tested today at 12dpo and negative, holding out hope for us both!

I’m trying to console myself tested today at 11dpo and is blankly negative with the first response test.

I’m gonna give it a try again tomorrow.
