[Top 10] Kenshi Best Unique Recruits That Are Excellent (2024)

Kenshi is a game where you will eventually have to hire more people if you want to start your outpost or perhaps you lack sufficient skills and you need a professional medic or a thief. That’s why I’m going to talk about the best recruitable guys that you can find all over the world of Kenshi - let’s start!

10. Luquin

Tengu’s best friend.

Luquin was imprisoned for murdering one of the nobles in the UC territories. He spent there a good chunk of his life, which is like 15 years. If you free him, he’s gonna join your faction. Why should you? He makes a good sneaky character and to a smaller degree, a thief. He’s perfect if you need somebody to sneak past robot spiders in ancient labs and get all those goodies!

Why Luquin is awesome:

- Hates Tengu

- 50 points in sneaking

- Decent stats

9. Rane the Giant

Just some random Shek.

Rane can be found in the Shek strongholds and for a small price of 7.500 cats, you’re gonna have a pretty OP companion follow you to beat the crap out of dust bandits and other rodents. She has well-balanced stats and she has experience in all types of weapons!

Why Rana is awesome:

- 20 STR

- 20 DEX

- 20 points in all weapon types

8. Cat

A crazy medic!

Cat was imprisoned by the Dust Bandits in their HQ - the Dust King Tower. He’s acting a little bit weird and it’s easy to assume that he spent way too much time inside of that tower. It can be speculated that he was being used by the Dust Bandits for his experience in treating wounds. He’s a useful medic and if you manage to find him in there, good luck!

Why Cat is awesome:

- Useful medic

- Fun dialogues

- Can also be a great scientist

7. Crumblejon

Grandpa?

Crumblejon is a pretty frail and arrogant old man but despite his crooked looks, he can still beat the crap out of people, thanks to his strength. If you happen to be playing as a female, he will try to convince you to give him a back massage. If you train him for some time, he can make an excellent heavy weapons user!

Why Crumblejon is awesome:

- Unique in terms of looks

- 24 STR

- Can be recruited for free

6. Doctor Chung

Big Chungus.

Another unique recruit can be found either in Mud Town or the Shark. Besides being a useful medic, he can also be a surgeon with plenty of unique dialogues. He’s similar to Cat, the difference being is the fact that Doctor Chung doesn’t have a maniacal personality and he’s far easier to recruit!

Why Doctor Chung is awesome:

- 40 points in Field Medic

- Unique dialogues

- Can also mutilate your face(he’s a surgeon)

5. Headshot

Boom.

Headshot is a Shek female that can be found in the Eyesocket or in some Slave Markets. Give her a crossbow or a turret and she’ll make sure that no one breaks into your outpost. She is slightly devoid of morals but she makes up with her sharpshooting skills!

Why Headshot is awesome:

- 55 points in Turrets

- 50 points in Crossbows

- Decent stats for 7.500 cats

4. Infinite Wingwang

What a name!

This guy is one of the strongest recruits that you can find in Kenshi. He’s also one of the most expensive recruits if you don’t know what you’re doing. His bargaining price for his recruitment starts at 100,000 cats and can be bargained down to 5,000 cats. IMO, he’s worth the price!

Why Infinite Wingwang is awesome:

- High melee attack

- 20 STR

- 20 DEX

3. Yamdu

Longen’s betch!

Yamdu is Longen’s best friend. These guys are basically the owners of the Traders Guild and despite Yamdu looking like a frail Hive Prince, his stats are surprisingly attractive. He has plenty of dexterity and he’s into blunt weapons and katanas. He’d make a great recruit but it will take you a lot of effort to recruit Yamdu - you have to defeat Tinfist himself!

Why Yamdu is awesome:

- 40 DEX

- If you don’t want to use him for combat, he can make an excellent engineer

- Decent field medic as well

2. Bo

Boo <3

Bo is an excellent fighter, as well as an incredibly useful thief. She has extremely high thievery skills and she can pop in and pop out of ancient labs in a matter of minutes. If you have the slavers and you’re regularly kidnapping nobles and other degenerates, she’s gonna be interested in you and allow you to recruit her!

Why Bo is awesome:

- 15 points in all attributes/combat skills

- Thievery at 50 points

- Stealth at 70 points

1. Beep

My beloved Beep.

Everyone loves Beep. He can be found in Mongrel, sitting in a bar all day. His story is kinda sad, actually - he was exiled from his Hive and somehow managed to stumble upon Mongrel, without being mutilated by the Fogmen.

When you finally do meet up with him, he’s gonna act a little… retarded? He only says one word and he will ask you to recruit him. Can you say no? He’s useless and dumb, without you, he will most likely die… yeah, let’s keep him!

Why Beep is awesome:

- Cool personality

- The most recognizable character in the world of Kenshi

- Reacts to having his limbs replaced with robotics
