seaQuest DSV: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (1) Jonathan Taylor Variety This derivative but technologically advanced series has a sufficiently interesting premise and enough high-tech toys to perhaps survive the hostile waters of Sunday night programming. Apr 9, 2020 Full Review seaQuest DSV: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (2) Howard Rosenberg Los Angeles Times "seaQuest" often seems so in love with its own flashy repertoire of high-tech gizmos that it fails to sufficiently emphasize the human element so essential for good storytelling. Apr 9, 2020 Full Review seaQuest DSV: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (3) John J. O'Connor New York Times Ham performances seem to be encouraged, perhaps as a means of keeping viewers puzzled in lieu of being enthralled. Chris M I was always a fan of the show. They described it as "Star Trek" of the ocean. But it has lots of action, likable characters and cool episodes. The CGI is pretty much 90s quality. Way better than other CGI at the time. But not perfect. Unlike the animatronics for Darwin the dolphin. I thought for years that was a live dolphin on the show. Hell, that animatronic dolphin is more realistic than all the CGI animals today. Rated 4.5/5 Stars • Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/09/23 Full Review sean G Great old show from the 90's, I would say it's like a star trek under the sea ? Each episode has a new place to visit and new story's to enjoy , the Dolphin is cool and a very strong grout of actors here. 10/10 I like the info bit at end too. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/02/22 Full Review ken c For its time, it was the Star Trek of the underwater world. It took the world to living under the seas and humanity had become more compassionate. Unfortunately the dark side is there too Rated 3.5/5 Stars • Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member A great voyage. Season Two was trash, but the rest of it was really good...too bad this subaquatic dream didn't come true.
